The Campbell River Dog Fanciers Society began in 1977 under the name Campbell River Dog Club.
On June 10, 1983, the Campbell River Dog Club became registered through the Society Act and their name changed to The Campbell River Dog Fanciers Society (CRDFS).

CRDFS is a member of the CKC ( Canadian Kennel Club)
CRDFS is an active member of the AIOC ( Association of Island Obedience Clubs)
The A.I.O.C. provides equal opportunity for both purebred and mixed-breed dogs to participate in Obedience and Rally Obedience trials at a local level. In order to participate you must be a member of one of the member clubs. Please check them out.
